The news you were waiting for! A few years later, Neda el Món has decided to organize Sa Dragonera crossing again, this year with a different format. It will be between June 26 and 29, 2025. Neda el Món will decide based on the forecast of wind, waves and currents which day between the 27th, 28th and 29th the challenge will be attempted.
Sa Dragonera is located in the west of Mallorca, off the western coast of the municipality of Andratx, and very close to the town of Sant Elm. A discreet islet, which has the beauty of home-made things. The Sa Dragonera Natural Park is formed by the islets of Es Pantaleu, Sa Mitjana, and the Calafats reefs. It is one of the Balearic islets with the greatest conservationist interest for its bioecological and landscape aspects and it is quite a spectacle to swim there. The area where we will swim, Sa Dragonera, is an elongated (4 kilometers) and narrow (one kilometer at most) islet, with an area of 288 ha and 352 meters high at its highest point. It is an extension of Serra de Tramuntana, and reproduces on a small scale the basic structural features of this, sloping to the southeast and cliff to the northwest.
Registration for this challenge includes 2 previous training camps in Barcelona and an 18-week home training plan. If you want to sign up, don't hesitate! You have all the info here.
