As you already know, this year's 5th Zoggs L'Estartit Medes Islands swim has both a competitive a non-competitive version.

The competitive version will be divided into the following categories:

• Absolute 5.200 m male, wetsuit
• Absolute 5.200 m male, no wetsuit
• Absolute 5.200 m female, wetsuit
• Absolute 5.200 m female, no wetsuit
• Absolute 3.400 m male, wetsuit
• Absolute 3.400 m male, no wetsuit
• Absolute 3.400 m female, wetsuit
• Absolute 3.400 m female, no wetsuit

3 awards will be given for each category. Besides that, the winner of each category will win a Neda el Món safety buoy!

We will also raffle off:

• 2 Neda el Món safety buoys amongst all participants of the non-competitive swim
• 3 Turbo packs with a backpack, towel and cap amongst all participants
• 1 pack of 4 OXD products amongst all participants
• 2 Zoggs goggles, a pair among the participants of the non-competitive swim, and a pair among the participants of the competitive swim
• 4 Zoggs Predator T-shirts amongst all participants
• 10 reusable Zoggs bottles amongst all participants

The 5th Zoggs L'Estartit Medes Islands swim for the TV3 Marathon that will be held next November 2nd will be once more in memoriam of our friend Alex Lorente.

Alex was a marine biologist and technical in the Natural Park of Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter, as well as terrestrial and underwater nature photographer. From the very beginning Alex believed in this swim project and actively participated in the first two editions.

This swim is for you, Alex! We miss you!

Next november, 2nd, after the 5th Zoggs L'Estartit Medes Islands, there will be a popular lunchnext to the swimmers arrival area.

The organization will prepare a salad for starters and sausage and beans as main course (a typical catalan meal). It will also include desserts, bread, wine and water.

Lunch time will be aound 13: 30 h, when the prize-giving is finished. The price for adults is 11 € and for children (under 12), 8 €.

Great news regarding the 5th Zoggs L'Estartit Medes Islands swim!

The water temperature in L'Estartit is currently 21,7 ºC, a value equivalent to the average sea temperatura during the month of July.

Starting on the 5th Zoggs L'Estartit Medes Islands swim, which will take place on November 2, and in order to improve the service offered to our swim addicts, Neda el Món will incorporate the ChampionChip timing system in every event.

For this reason it is required for each swimmer to access his/her user profile on Neda el Món's website, www.nedaelmon.com, and enter the yellow chip code in the specified field.

If a swimmer does not own a yellow chip o does not enter de code in the user profile, a white chip will have to be rented for each event (5 €).
