Sa Dragonera

Swimming around an island: a spectacular challenge. From the face closest to the Mallorcan coast, bright and full of life, to the darkest face we find near Cap de Llebeig. A route with dizzying cliffs and impressive depth, where the breath of kayakers and spectators make us see the light. We end up skirting Cap de Tramuntana, where we again see a very close bottom that allows us to reach the Port of Sa Dragonera, the point from which this 9,500 meter challenge begins.

This crossing is done by level groups and the total cost is €380, including 2 previous training camps in Barcelona and an 18-week training plan.

The SOLO version, to make the crossing alone, has an additional cost of €180. If you prefer to pay in 2 installments, write to us at info@nedaelmon.com. If during the year of preparation a justified reason forces you to give up the challenge, we save your place for the following year.

Challenge setup

Among the 24 swimmers registered for the challenge, Neda el Món will create, based on their speeds and the state of form they demonstrate during the face-to-face training camps in Barcelona, ??6 groups of 4 swimmers of the same swimming level who will swim together during the challenge. Exactly the same methodology we use to make the groups to cross the Strait of Gibraltar.

Training planning

If you sign up before 15th February 2025, you can also enjoy free of charge the training plans that Neda el Món organizes for swimmers who are preparing for the Strait of Gibraltar. These trainings are both online and face-to-face, with 2 training camps on Saturday and Sunday each in the vicinity of Barcelona.

Safety Buoy

In order to improve the swimmers’ safety during the crossing, the use of a buoy like the ISHOF Neda el Món buoy will be compulsory. This buoy makes the swimmers more visible, and, in addition, it allows them to hold on to it in case they are tired or injured, without altering the swimmers efficiency.
